What is The Kariki Experience?

The Kariki (Ka-Ree-Kee) Experience is more than just a destination, it's a family-run business built on a deep passion for nature and a genuine love of sharing this special corner of the world with like-minded people. Nestled in the heart of KwaZulu-Natal's breathtaking Valley of a Thousand Hills, Kariki is a place where people come to reconnect with nature, create lasting memories, and experience authentic hospitality.

Whether you're looking for a peaceful escape, an unforgettable adventure, or a space to celebrate life's special moments, The Kariki Experience offers something for everyone.

Our beautifully appointed Villa sleeps up to nine guests, making it the perfect retreat for families and small groups seeking comfort, tranquillity, and quality time together. For larger groups, the Kariki Bush Camp accommodates up to 60 guests and provides an ideal setting for retreats, school camps, team-building experiences, and outdoor adventures.

The Kariki Event Venue offers a scenic and versatile space for weddings, family celebrations, private functions, corporate events, and boardroom meetings, all surrounded by the natural beauty of the Valley of a Thousand Hills.

Adventure is at the heart of Kariki. Guests can enjoy guided scooter tours or explore the surrounding trails on foot, with walks and hikes starting from our welcoming on-site coffee shop. Every experience is designed to showcase the beauty and peace that make this place so special.

Kariki is also home to specialised training camps for paddlers, runners, and endurance athletes, providing expert coaching and tailored programmes to help individuals and teams reach their full potential in an inspiring natural environment.

At its heart, The Kariki Experience is about bringing people together, whether around a campfire, on the trails, at a celebration, or simply enjoying a cup of coffee at our café. We invite you to slow down, embrace the outdoors, and become part of the Kariki family, even if only for a little while.
